Last night one of our license plate readers hit on a stolen motor vehicle.  This notification is immediate to our officers and dispatchers.  Due to a swift response from our officers they were able to locate that vehicle.  The vehicle ultimately fled the area once they observed our officers.  These license plate readers assist with deterring potential crimes from occurring in our town.  A great tool to assist with protecting the safety and property of our residents.  As a reminder from Chief Volker’s letter, lock your cars and homes, remove the keys from your vehicle and see something say something.  Great job to all officers involved!Â
